Acceleration On-Demand

How It Works

Unlike other solutions that require installing hardware at the remote location, or software on every end-user device, Acceleration On-Demand provides bi-directional acceleration without installing software. When an end-user accesses an application that has been identified through predefined application policies, the Acceleration On-Demand technology is automatically injected into the response delivered to the end-user's browser.  From then on, all interaction with that application is accelerated with:

• Bi-directional Compression
• Cache Differencing
• SSL Client-side Termination
  
• Acceleration of Compressed or Encrypted Objects through TurboStreaming

Application policies are defined for each application that is to be accelerated.  These policies are set once, and define how the Stampede Application Acceleration Series or Stampede Web 2.0 Performance Series appliances and client software process the applications.  One of these policies is to automatically inject Acceleration On-Demand when the application is accessed the first time.  The high level process goes like this:

1. End-user requests an application Web page
2. The Stampede Application Acceleration Series or Stampede Web 2.0 Performance Series appliance routes the request to the proper Web application server
3. Response is generated by the Web server
4. The Stampede Application Acceleration Series or Stampede Web 2.0 Performance Series appliance automatically injects the necessary Acceleration On-Demand technology into the Web page
5. The application response and the Acceleration On-Demand technology are delivered to the end-user

All future accesses to this application are now accelerated ! !
