Q. Why is TurboGold AutoZip unique?

TurboGold AutoZip is patent pending and completely transparent interface that removes the burden of deciding when and when not to zip an attachment. With TurboGold AutoZip this decision process is controlled by the central administrator.
TurboGold AutoZip does not replace the dialog boxes of the native Notes client and is therefore available in all international languages that the Notes client uses.
TurboGold AutoZip provides a powerful caching feature not commonly found in other zipping products.
TurboGold AutoZip can also be used for Notes databases by allowing the owner of the database to decide if attachments should be autozipped by setting an ACL role.

Q. Why wouldn't I use LZ1 for attachments instead of TurboGold AutoZip?

A. Because LZ1 requires your servers to waste resources and time converting attachments when servicing non-ND6 clients like iNotes, QuickPLace, Internet Explorer, and R5 Notes clients. With TurboGold AutoZip, the attachments are served as ".zip" files to the clients optimizing data communications. Finally, zip compression is often twice as tight as LZ1 compression.
