Support for Cisco's "Web Cache Coordination Protocol (WCCP) makes it easy to transparently add optimization to your service. WCCP's ability to evenly distribute the optimization is massively scable and provides fault-tolerance. Transparency is guarenteed because Stampede's WCCP solution preserves the client's source IP addresses when requesting content from servers.
As a two sided solution Stampede extends the value of the single sided solution to optimize both outbound and inbound traffic. While other solution providers require hardware to be placed at the other side of the network, Stampede solves the problem with software. More importantly, since you probably cannot control the installation of software at the end user, we do it with “clientless acceleration”.
